New Growth

Embrace your growth,
it may be messy,
needing attention or
letting it Be,
much like the new growth
that arrives in spring –
some plants need care,
others bloom with ease.

You need not follow
a strict doctrine,
get to know you
and what you need,
as you release what
is cumbersome,
do you not flourish,
ready to be free.

Embrace the journey
and all of the unknowns,
your slate is clear
as You emerge,
may the friction of life
be your artist’s tool,
much like sand and oyster
creating a pearl!
