“Climb every mountain . . . ”
And does not this
line from a song
bring forth a sense
of strength,
of courage,
that it must take
to achieve the feat
of climbing to the top
of a summit,
a crest,
a pinnacle –
and to do it again
and again?
And is this not the
language that you may use –
to “conquer” a mountain;
as if climbing to the top
is not only proof
that you have enough
strength and courage –
but that you have achieved
a feat by adding
this mountain to your
list of accomplishments?
But is there not
another way
of experiencing
climbing to the
top of a mountain?
Can you not take
a meandering trail
that allows you to see
and experience
your surroundings –
as you slowly
gain altitude,
stopping to look and enjoy
where you are
at any given moment?
And when you arrive
at the top of the mountain –
are you not gifted
with beautiful views,
a different perspective,
from where you began?
Do you not wish
to take your time
to soak up the gifts that
the mountain may share?
And though you may think
that it takes a special
expedition or journey
to physically place
yourself up on
a mountain –
where you may
find peace
and a higher perspective –
have you not just now
traveled in your mind’s eye
to the summit,
the crest,
the pinnacle
of what a higher perspective
looks like to you?
And is this experience
something to achieve,
a place to “conquer”,
to reach the pinnacle –
or might you return
to this Place of Peace –
stopping to look and enjoy
where you are
at any given moment?
Will you not be gifted
with beautiful views
and a different perspective
from where you began?
You need not
“climb every mountain”
to reach the awareness
of Who You Are.
You already have the
Strength and Courage
to see that You Are
a Pinnacle of Love.
Soak up the
Gifts of Love
that you experience
along the way
to You.
Yes, this is the very embodiment of inspiration today! The picture and the words blend so beautifully together. I thank you both for this gift of love and encouragement!
