Emerge

The bear emerges
from its den,
its place of solitude,
needing to wait
until the conditions
are right
for Bear
to find what
it needs –
to come out,
to move around –
moving slowly at first,
as Bear acclimates
to life outside
of the den,
where Bear
has been waiting
for the light,
for new growth,
for spring
to emerge.

Are there not times
when you feel
like the bear,
wanting to feel
secure and tucked
away in a den,
so as not
to be disturbed?
Do you not
feel comfortable
where you are –
keeping your surroundings
much the same,
do you not
often identify with
what surrounds you –
holding close
the things
that tell the beautiful
story of you?

Emerge.
Is there not a time
when you emerge –
looking out
to see more light –
are you not looking
for fresh air,
the space to
move about –
is it not time
to stretch,
to reach beyond
where you have been –
do you not
wish to see
what has grown
within you?

And as you look
for more light –
do you not
become aware
that all the
Light you need
shines within You?

Can you emerge
from your den,
from the story
of who you are –
for as your Light
becomes so bright,
do you not wish
to shine it everywhere –
can your Light
now no longer
be contained?

As you shed
the story of you
and step into
the Light
of Who You Are –
are you not
ready to emerge
and Be fully You?
Are you not
ready to explore
like the bear
in the spring –
no longer
needing to feel
the familiarity
of a den,
but free to
move about
and fully Be?

Emerge and express
the Love That You Are.
Stretch.
Move.
Shine your Light.

See yourself
as the Light and Love
of Who You Are.
