Hope Arising

Does new growth
not arise,
when fertile soil
and sun combine,
wind sweeps away
what is not needed,
so there is room
for what may rise.

Some plants are delicate,
others are hardy,
in eco systems they
cohabitate,
majestic tree is host
to lichen,
or shelter for what
might need shade.

Check your surroundings,
what may need care,
what fertile soil might
you create?
You do not live
in a vacuum,
you and Universe
indeed collaborate.

Cleanse the palate,
clear your slate,
begin anew with
the hope of spring,
be open to all
possibility,
what new growth makes
your heart and
your soul sing?
